Please read the following terms carefully. By booking a call-out or accepting a quotation from EDDA Electrical, you agree to these terms in full.
EDDA Electrical ("we", "us", "our") provides electrical installation, repair and solar inverter services across Durban North, Umhlanga, Westville, Kloof and surrounding areas. All work is performed by or under the supervision of registered electricians in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and SANS 10142.
A flat call-out fee of R450 applies to every on-site attendance. This fee covers travel and the first on-site assessment. Any labour and materials required to carry out the repair or installation are quoted separately before work commences and must be accepted by the client before we proceed.
Written quotations are valid for thirty (30) days from date of issue. Prices are subject to change if the scope of work, specification or site conditions differ from those communicated at the time of quoting. Additional work discovered on-site will be quoted separately and requires client approval before commencement.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the call-out fee and any accepted labour and material charges are payable on completion of the visit. Larger installations (including solar inverter systems) are subject to a deposit prior to ordering materials, with the balance due on commissioning and handover. Accepted payment methods include EFT and cash.
Workmanship is warranted for twelve (12) months from date of completion. Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied equipment (inverters, batteries, panels, DB components, geysers, etc.) and are passed through to the client. Warranty claims must be reported in writing to eddaelectrical777@gmail.com. Damage caused by misuse, tampering, unauthorised modification, lightning, power surges outside of any installed surge protection, or acts of God is excluded.
A Certificate of Compliance will be issued only where the installation, or the portion of the installation we have worked on, fully complies with SANS 10142. Where existing non-compliances are identified, a written report will be provided and remedial work may be quoted. No COC will be issued until all required remedials are completed and paid for.
We understand emergencies and will accommodate reasonable rescheduling where possible. Cancellations of scheduled work with less than two (2) hours' notice may still be subject to the call-out fee if a technician has already been dispatched.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of the services is limited to the value of the services actually paid for in respect of that specific job. We shall not be liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including loss of profit, business interruption, or data loss.
Clients are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area and disclosing any known hazards, unusual wiring configurations or previous unauthorised electrical work. We reserve the right to halt work where conditions pose an unacceptable safety risk to our technicians or occupants of the premises.
Details submitted via our contact form (name, phone, email, service selected and message) are stored securely and used only to respond to enquiries and provide services. We do not sell or share personal information with third parties.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of KwaZulu-Natal.
